Contemporary Artists of Mexico
A brief overview of contemporary from Mexico with the potential for long term success. There are 3 categories of artists listed in this research: established mid-career artists, mid-career artists, and emerging artists.
In this case, established mid-career artists refer to mid-career artists who are at the top of their field - they have gallery representation, strong collectors, museum shows at well known museums - they are well known artists in the art world, especially in Mexico.
Mid-career artists refer to artists who are currently working full time as artist; they all have gallery representation, collectors, published books and have been featured in either group or solo museum shows. The prices for large unique works in this category generally fall between 10k -25k).
Emerging artists either have no gallery representation or are just beginning to work with galleries. All of the artists listed here are in their 20’s, and are relatively recent graduates from UNAM in Mexico City. Although they are early in their careers they have caught the eye of established artists and galleries. They are all talented and serious artists who will undoubtedly continue to grow in their careers. All of these artists have large works available for under 10k (often around 5k).
